Hi
What was his birth weight? After 1 year of age the food cooked for family can be offered to the child and it should be soft in consistency. You can add ghee or edible oil to his diet to increase the caloric density and you can give daily one or two boiled eggs after ruling out egg protein allergy by giving in small quantity initially and if there are no problems you can increase gradually. Don't feed the child forcefully and feed him with love, tender caring and with patience. You can avoid milk if there is consistent dysentery after giving milk.
