Small Child, Loose, Watery, Frequent Stools, Pain On Passing Stools. Cure?

My daughter is 3 months old. She has had 3 stools today the last 2 being watery. Usually her stool is kind of thick and mucus like. The first stool may have been however she was with her grandparents and as they are at home sleeping I am not sure. Should I be worried? Additionally, she is crying out when she passes the stool.

Hi,
I think that you need not panic so much.Usually children of this age who are breast fed can pass golden yellow liquid stool after every feed. The child may pass numerous times a day. If the child is active, feeding well, passing urine at least 10-12 /day there is no reason to panic. Usually infants cry before passing stool or urine. If the stool is too loose adding a probiotic powder often helps in restoring consistency of stool. Adding a natural antiflatulant carminative drop will decrease the pain during defaecation. Hope she recovers fast. have a nice day
