Small Child, Resisting Bowel Movements, Having Hard Stools. Ways To Reduce Anxiety Towards Bowel Movements?
My 2-1/2 year old granddaughter strongly resists bowel movements, making the process (and her stools ) even harder of course. When she does go, she likes privacy and usually waits till she is at home. Although she is normally very even-tempered, outgoing and cheerful, she becomes cries vehemently when her body is telling her she needs to go, and she is resisting. Any suggestions to help reduce this emotional anxiety?
you should got her checked if there is any problem with her like anal fissure, because it is very common problem & due to it there occur severe pain in doing toilet. So due to fear of pain child resist.Secondary if it is due to emotional anxiety or training than spend more time with child & train her with other children of same age.
