Small Child, Swelling Under Armpit, No Redness. Ultrasound, Blood Tests Scheduled. Causes?
My daughter is 7 and a half. A couple of weeks ago we noticed hair under one armpit and now she has a swelling under the same armpit. No redness or pain. Went to docs and they said it wasnt a hard lump, more of a swelling. She checked groin , chest and other arm, nothing found. We have been reffered for ultrasound and bloodtests. Very worried, any ideas please?

Early pubertal changes usually present with hair under armpits but it usually present on two sides. One side armpit hair is unusual and as you said there is an underlying lump , this may be because of some local mass lesions which produce hair structure locally.
Nothing to worry as you are referred for ultrasound and blood investigation.
