Small Child, Twisted Arm By Accident, Arm And Neck Pain, Flu. Suggestions?

I was changing my sons diaper last night and I pulled him over to me on the couch. When I did, his arm was twisted behind him and when I pulled him, it hurt his arm around his elbow . He seemed to be fine the rest of the night but this morning he is crying and complaining that his arm and neck are hurting. He also has had the flu for a week. What should I do?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query,
Because of the pulling and twisting forces ligamental sprain occurs and this may be the cause of pain around the arm and neck.
If pain is mild to moderate you can give Tylenol or pain is severe you can give ibuprofen in prescribed dosage as per your child weight and age.
Consult your Pediatrician to rule out any dislocation of elbow or shoulder joints as these are commonly associated with this type of forces.
Hope i have answered your query.
