Smelly Urine After Sipping Water Throughout The Day. Reason?
HI, I don t drink enough water my urine was so smelly I had to use air freshener, so I started drink water a week ago. I started off drinking 8 oz at a time cause I can t remember to sip all day and I would urine clear with no smell, now I drink the same ammount a day but a little at a time and my urine is back strong and very yellow but not as strong as it was before I started drinking water, why is my urine strong when I sip on the water versus drink alot?
The commonest cause of bad odour in urine is dehydration, inadequate intake of water results in production of smelly, scanty urine. Drink water adequately, take soups, juices, fruits and berries to flush out the toxicity from your body system. The other cause is UTI, get urine test done ( routine and culture ) to rule out E. Coli infection, pus cells, etc.
Developing uretheritis, prostatitis, bladder infection , cystititis can be a cause. Get a blood test done to rule out diabetes, phenylketonuria, liver failure as you are passing deep colored urine. normal urine is straw coloured.
Avoid smoking, alcohol, caffeine or any other addiction. Get examined clinically and treated well. Take care.
