because i was smoking consistently and did not know
i was pregnant.

I smoked the occasional bowl throughout my pregnancy to help ease the nausea. She's almost a year old, and perfect. She's reaching milestones faster than my first child (which could be because of my older girl helping her), but I've noticed nothing wrong with her.

Smoking does affect the growth of the baby specially at the very early stages. Constant smoking decreases the blood supply to the uterus as well as the baby resulting in severe growth retardation and even death of the baby sometimes or a missed abortion.
