Sore Bruise On The Arm Due To Dog Bite. Painful Thumb Joint. Related To Dog Bite?

My dog bite my arm, slightly above the wrist a couple of weeks ago. It did not bleed. It was sore and bruised. I washed it with soap and water really well. For the past two weeks, my thumb joint is fairly painful and feels bumpy and my elbow joint feels moderately painful. Could this at all be related to the dog bite?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain i9n the thumb joint could be related to an inflammation of the tendons caused by the dog bite. The systemic antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines will help in decreasing the symptoms.
