Sore Gland Knot In The Roof Of The Mouth Due To Sinus Problems. On Z-pack. Reddish Throat Recurring
hello I have a sore gland knot in the roof of my mouth that seems to be possibly connected to my sinuses. The soreness is on the right side only and seems to go down behind my teeth on the gum on the lower part of my mouth as well. I was put on a Zpack last month for a red throat by my gyn dr. But this has come back. What do you think this is? Do you suggest I see a internist or general dr?
After this a thorough examination and clinical co-relation with investigations will help to reach to a final diagnosis and that can be accordingly manage.
Regards.

Sore Gland Knot In The Roof Of The Mouth Due To Sinus Problems. On Z-pack. Reddish Throat Recurring
Hello Thanks for writing to H.C.M. for your query. I have gone through your query regarding sore gland knot in the roof of your mouth, I am suspecting most probably it is- (a) Ectopic salivary gland. (b) Cyst. To manage this we need these investigations- (1) C.T.scan of paranasal sinuses. (2) Culture and sensitivity of throat swab. (3) FNAC from knot. After this a thorough examination and clinical co-relation with investigations will help to reach to a final diagnosis and that can be accordingly manage. Regards.
