Sore Hard Spot On Leg, Not Open. Had Travel. Have Varicous Vein, Leg Stripped Twice. Any Ideas?

hi, I have a hard spot in my leg , just above my left ankle, its very sore, looks like it could be a ulcer, but its not an open sore, its about the size of fiftycent pc., we traveled a while back and it was like phelbitous, the redess , has gone, except a little a night? I have vericous veins and that leg has been stripped twice

It can be beginning of ulcer or healed ucler. Uclers go through few stages and it doesnt need to be open wound. Considering your venous insufficiency this is obviously caused by this. The most important is to prevent infection so keep this area clean and dry. Keep your leg elevated and dont stand for long. There always can be veins which arent removed during the stripping procedure. So do doppler ultrasound again to evaluate your venous leg status.WIsh you good health.
