Sore Knees, Swollen, Huge Mottled Pink Bit On Knee. Cure For Symptoms?

Hi there,
I've got some issues with my knees where they've been really sore for the last couple of weeks, especially the right which is a bit swollen. Just noticed that on the top of my right thigh and knee a huge mottled pink bit has appeared and it feels hot, i don't know if it's just to do with the sun or something?
