Sore Throat, Swollen, Discolored Tonsils Near Uvula, No Cough. Treatment Options?
The past month and half I ve had a steady sore throat . A feeling like I need a glass of water. No pain when swallowing , no coughing. But it s lasted this long without going away. I looked into the mirror with a flashlight and I believe they re the tonsils, but the 2 small shapes next to the uvula are discolored, yellow, and with veins showing up. But the pain feels deeper down.
HI Iam Dr A.K.Srivastava (E.N.T.specialist) have gone through your mail and I now suspecting as you are having chronic tonsilitis as you have this problum for last one and half month, that means this is not any self limiting or resolving condition so you please contact your E.N.T.doctor for proper physical E.N.T. examination and some investigations like in blood (C.B.C.,blood sugar,Etc),culture & sensitivity of your throat swab.After examination and investigation your diagnosis can be made correctly.I hope now you will be clear about your illness but still if you are having any doubt you may contact this site again.Thanks;
