Sound In Ear, Mucus Coming Out From Ear. What Is Happening?
Only since last night, I had this weird heartbeat like thumping on my right ear, and I couldn't sleep most of the time, but next morning, I started to have a bit of a hearing loss, and I could only hear people within a metre away from me. What's happening? Will it go away eventually? I also have a bit of a cold as well, and also, there's water or mucus coming out of my ear sometimes.
I understand your concern. It seems like you are having a middle ear infection - otitis media - and it should get better with the right antibiotic medications. I also think that the hearing loss will get better withe the infection getting better. I also feel like the hyperacusis is related to the same condition. It will eventually go away. I do believe that these symptoms are common in otitis media. However, if they do not get better with rest and rehydration and the usual symptomatic treatment you might need to visit with an ENT specialist. I hope this helps.
Take care and have a lovely day!
