Spotting A Week Before Periods. Started Primolut, Heavy Periods After Stopping. Chance Of Pregnancy?

Thanks Dr Chawla
I am 36 years and for the first time I had irregular periods whereby I spotted for a week before my period, bled heavy for my actual period which was alittle longer tat usual and continued to spot for another 10 days until I was given Primolut N by my doctor. There was a possible that I could have conceived. However, since I stopped the use of Primolut three days later, my period has come back and heavy. Can this affect the fetus if I had conceived

Hello
Thanks for your query.
Primolut is generally not supposed to be taken during pregnancy.
However, just 3 days of use would not affect the fetus .
As you have already had a period, chances of pregnancy are ruled out.
IN future, for regulating cycles, take safer progesterones like Duphaston or Meprate.
All the best and take care.
