Sprained Knee Ligament, Swelling In Lower Part Of Leg. Low Haemoglobin Count. Internal Bleeding?
hi, i severely sprained my knee ligament a few weeks back... i noticed that my whole lower leg was kind of swollen for a few weeks after that which i assumed was bad/dead blood from internal bleeding . recently i did my blood work for a clinical trial and i didnt qualify because my haemoglobin count was a little out of range low. could that have anything to do with the knee sprain?
I would suggest you to get a ultrasound examination of the calf and MRI if the knee joint . This will confirm the diagnosis and also help us in further management. This can be DVT or accumulation of fluid in calf also called edema. You should wear TED stocking and take Brufen.
