Stiff Neck, Sore Muscles After Accident, Neck Grinds Continuously, Hot And Cold Flashes. Causes ?

Hi I just got in a car accident a couple weeks ago now and I visited my doctor and he said I did have whiplash. The muscles in my neck started feeling better gradually. However, just recently My neck became extremely stiff and all my muscles are sore. My neck now grinds continuously when I move my neck , I ve been getting hot and cold flashes, I feel really dizzy and light-headed and this morning I even felt nauseas. Could this be due to the accident or possibly the Flu? I hope this goes away!

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
In many cases, whiplash will eventually get better on its own or after some basic treatment.
However, sometimes whiplash can cause a number of severe and troublesome symptoms that last for a long time.Whiplash that lasts for six months or more is sometimes known as chronic whiplash or late whiplash syndrome.
If you have whiplash, it is important you keep your neck mobile by doing some gentle neck exercises.Your neck may be painful, but keeping it mobile from an early stage will improve its functionality and speed up your recovery. Any pain you experience when moving your neck is normal and will not cause further damage.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
