Stiffness In Neck And Swollen, Painful Throat With Difficulty In Swallowing. What Does This Indicate?

I feel like I have a swollen throat because I cant swallow without pain. But there are no other symptoms of cold or anything else. Its been 4 days, its no better even after gargling or worse. I had a very stiff neck just before this started and it still persists slightly. Could that be the reason as I do not have any other symptom at all ?
What do I do to make my stiff neck go away ?

Hi,
Problems most likely indicate you are suffering from tonsillitis which occurs due to enlargement of a structure called adenoids in mouth. It can be easily treated with a combination of antibioitc, decongestants, repeated warm water saline gargles etc. & pain due to enlarged tonsilles goes away within a week or so. Now, by neck stiffness, do u mean to say that u can not bend your neck & touch your chin on chest? if its so, then its a concerning sign indicating spread of infection towards brain. Hence I advice uou to please consult your doctor ASAP & get a good physical examination done & a drug prescription. Good luck
