What Causes Sore Throat, Neck Stiffness And Swollen Glands?
I am trying to determine if I should go to urgent care because of the possiblity of symptoms being strep throat versus just a cold. Sore throat, swollen glands, pain to the touch of them, stiff neck, difficulty swallowing, only slight cough...mild to no fever.
Sore throat with swollen and painful glands with difficulty in swallowing could be acute tonsillopharyngitis which is commonly caused by strep.Start on salt water gargles,Amoxicillin 500 twice a day(if not allergic ),tab acetaminophen for pain will make you better..
