Stomach And Intestine Pain. Had Swine Flu, Triggered With Foods Which Is Hard To Digest. Suggestion?
My boyfriend had swine flu about 3 years ago and ever since he's in a lot of pain with his stomach and intestines towards the end of the day. It can also be triggered with certain foods that are hard to digest. Do you know of anything he can take that will help. He's seen the doctor but he's not sure what's causing it. Thanks.
Swine flu is just another viral fever. It doesn't usually leave long term effects.
In my opinion he would be suffering from gastritis or peptic ulcer. To reach a specific diagnosis I'd require some more details about the nature of his pain. - Usual onset of pain is associated with ? - Any associated features like heart burn, belching, acidic taste in mouth ?
In the mean time I'd advise him to have some drugs of the class H2 blockers eg:ranitidine. Also ask him to regularise his food timings. Avoid smoking and alcohol intake completely.
