Stomach Cramps, Symptoms Of Flu, Loose Stools With Odd Tendrils, Yellow Liquid With Stools. Due For Surgery For Scar Endometrioma. Advice

Since my period finished two weeks ago I have had awful stomach cramps and pain, accompanied by flu like symptoms (tired, lethargic, generally yucky) and I feel like I need to have a pooh, but all that's been coming out have been varied abnormal things. Mostly little loosely formed things with odd tendrils floating off them, but once, two days ago, was a few really skinny ones like bendy pencils. Three times in the last few days I've had bright yellow liquid accompany my BM, and tonight I had the liquid but no BM. My diet hasn't really changed, I eat fairly healthy and balanced. I do have a scar endometrioma which I am on the waiting list for surgery to remove. Do you think the cyst may be affecting my bowel now? Or should I be worried about something more sinister? I'm sick of feeling sick. Any advice?

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

As you have been having this problem for nearly two weeks I suggest that you get your stool examined and consult your doctor who may like to put you on an appropriate medication. You should keep yourself well hydrated by taking a lot of fluids in the form of lemonade, coconut water, butter milk and can start a probiotic.
