Stomach Pain, Diagnosed H-pylori, Gastritis, Prescribed Amoxycillin, Dexilant, Not Getting Better. What To Do ?
HI, I had stomach pain last year and I have done endoscopy, doctor told me that I had h pylori and slight gastritis, he put me on amoxicillin for 10 days and dexilant, I was fine, however now I got the some symptoms but even worse after 4 months (bloating, nausea, burning, stomach growling,...) I went back to my doctor he had me have h pylori breath urea mask, and came out detected, he told me your bacteria is resistant to amoxicillin, and he put me on metronidazole for 14 days and now I have been taken it for 10 days and I feel any better

To treat h.pylori infection you need to take triple therapy which includes three drugs mainly:
-pantaprazole 40 mg bd
-amoxicillin 1gm twice daily
-clarithromycin 500mg twice daily
for 7-14 days.14 days usage of the therapy will give good results than using 7 days.Use in a combination and you will see the results.Thank you.

Your symptoms could be due to peptic ulcer with infection.
H pylori infection needs to be treated. Now Hpylori kit is available, which is more effective in clearing infection. it contains combination of Proton pump inhibitors, amoxicillin and metronidazole combination. it should be taken for 14 days to eradicate infection.
Consult your doctor for examination and management.
