My girlfriend just woke up ans complained of severev stomach pain. She went to the bsthroom because she though she was going to get sick. She did not. She came back to bed snd collapsed on the floor. I immediately jumped up to find her lsying there drenched in sweat, pale, and confused. She said she was okay, and starting to feel better. I helped her change and she wanted to lay diwn. She is skeeping now, but I am worried. Please help.
Such symptoms can be caused by heart attack and this is the first thing that should be ruled out. Heart ECG and heart necrosis enzymes should be checked. Her blood pressure, heart rate and sugar level should be also checked.
More frequent and less serious reason of such symptoms is blood pressure drop due to ortostatic reaction (fast stand up for example), heart arrhytmia or due to mitral valve prolapse. This conditions needs to be diagnosed by cardiologist. Some tests should be performed starting with 24 hours ECG, heart ultrasound, tillt test.
Pregnancy can also occur in such way, that is why, she should have pregnancy test performed. Thyroid tests should be done as well.
Hope this will help.
Regards.
