Stool Is Dark In Color. Had 3rd Degree Tear After Giving Birth. Took Lactulocose. Suggestions?

Hi..
My spouse recently delivered her first child (on 19 Mar 2013, suction was used) during which she had a 3rd degree tear. The tear was sutured and she was given lactulocose solution to make bowel movement easier. Since then her stool is dark in colour.
Her age is 30 years, height is 5' 3" and weight is 48kg.

Can you please provide any suggestions?

Hello! Your wife and baby will be well by now. Dark means? is it black colour? There can be two reasons for dark colored stool.1. If she is on some iron tablets which can lead to dark stools
2. If she is not get her stool examination to see for blood loss.
I hope this will help you. Remain in touch
