Stools Green Color. Giving Lactogen. Green Color Due To Lactogen? Digestive Problem? Start Solid? Guide

my baby is 6 months old his stool is green in color. sometimes it s mixed with yellow and green. Im giving him lactogen 1 from birth since the breast milk is less. He passes stool once or twice a day. except this he is normal. The green color is due to lactogen or is it a signal for any digestive system. Pls advise what solid food I can start now.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

I will not worry about the green stool as long as they are not watery.

Yes, it is time you started solids for your child. Kindly start by giving him liquid to semi-solid food and gradually going to solids. You can start with soups, fruit juices, mashed potatoes, mashed banana, etc. Gradually increase the consistency of the food so that the child starts using his gums.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your son an early recovery.
