Strong-smelling Urine. Taken Antibiotics For UTI. Have Kidney Inflammation. Any Ideas?

HI, my left kidney feels inflammed today. I have had a strong ammonia smelling urine for a while and urine tests have said I have a UTI. I did a series of antibiotics for it and the smell disappeared while on the antibiotic and then returned once stopping. I don't have a UTI! I have no discomfort in urinating or irritation during sex. I drink 1.5 to 2ltrs of water 5-7 days a week, eat a raw salad daily, vegies at dinner and minimal meat, plenty of good quality protein. Any ideas???
