Sudden Dent In Skull Along The Hairline, Swollen Fluid Triangle At The Base Of Spine. What Could This Be?

I woke up with a sudden dent in my skull along my hair line about 1/2 inc inch long moving toward the back of my head. I also noticed a large swollen, fluid like triangle at the base of my spine . It is about 4 in, across on the top and 4 in, long tapering into a triangle at the top of my buttocks. I am really concerned with sudden cerebral spinal fluid leak. Can you assist? WWW.WWWW.WW

Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

If you have experienced this sudden appearance of swelling at base of skull then this can be due to either infection or injury. This can not be due to CSF leak.In that case there can be loss of consciousness as well as other abnormal neurological symptoms.I will advice you to consult to your physician for this.

With best wishes.

Hope this will help you.
