Sudden Soreness And Burning Pain Near Belly Button While Bending, Coughing. Had Robotic Removal Of Uterus, Tubes And Cervix Followed By Good Recovery. Serious?
Hi. I am 3 weeks and 4 days post op. I had uterus, tubes and cervix removed robotically. I have felt better than I expected throughout my recovery. Pain was under control after 5 days and have only felt tired until 4 days ago. Out of the blue I've started having soreness near my belly button. When I bend over the soreness escalates to a burning pain. I am so perplexed at this stage of my recovery. I was able to bend over easily tw weeks ago, now it's almost impossible. Coughing, sneezing and laughing hurts. I had stopped taking the heavy duty meds a week ago, but today I had to revert in order to deal with the discomfort. I called my doctor on Friday and they said to call back on Monday if the pain continues. Should I wait?
DEAR PATIENT WELCOME SINCE YOU UNDERWENT A SURGERY RECENTLY, I SUGGEST YOU SHOULD NOT BEND OR CARRY WEIGHTS CAUSE THE RULE IS FOR ANY ABDOMINAL SURGERY YOU MUST AVOID WORK FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS SO THAT YOU CAN RECOVER COMPLETELY. AND INITIALLY YOU USE TO NOT GET PAIN CAUSE YOU MUST HAVE BEEN ON STRONG PAIN KILLERS AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS. NOW SINCE YOU HAVE STOPPED THE MEDICINES YOU WILL START GETTING PAIN. NOW IF THE PAIN INTENSITY IS SAME OR DECRESING ,THERE IS NOTHING TO WORRY,YOU SHOULD CONTINUE WITH THE SAME MEDICATIONS FOR SOMETIME MORE. IF THE INTENSITY OF PAIN IS INCREASING,I SUGGEST YOU CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR AS THE WOUND MUST BE INFECTED AND IF INFECTED YOU WILL EXPERIENCE THROBBING PAIN DUE TO PUS ACCUMULATION AND YOU MAY GET FEVER TO. SO I SUGGEST YOU WAIT AND WATCH BEST OF LUCK STAY HEALTHY
