Suffer From Acute Bronchitis. Taking Antibiotics. I Cough A Lot. What Does It Mean?

I suffer from acute bronchitis. When it is being treated with antibiotics I cough a lot and get up phlegm. Unfortunately this continues at night and so I can't sleep. Currently I am being treated with a course of antibiotics and am in my fifth day and have averaged about an hour's sleep at night for the past 5 days. How do I suppress the coughing at night?

Hi,
Cough and phlegm will remains for few days till infection controls.
Take some cough suppressant or expectorant syrup to give symptomatic relief.
After taking cough syrup do not take water after it.
You may take some throat soothing medicated lozenges.
Ok and take care.
