Suffer From Bloody Diarrhea, Internal Hemorrhoids. Worried About Colon Cancer

Just went to ER last night with bloody diarrhea. I've been having bleeding in my stool on and off for years, but I also have numerous internal hems. The doctor did an exam and felt multiple ones. He did an exam but was more worried about my state of mind, as I have severe health anxiety. I am terrified I have colon cancer. I am 37,female, non smoker or drinker. He told me he honestly was not worried about cancer, due to all the hemorrhoids and the fact that I have IBS. They did a CBC and said they were happy with the results. He a referral to a GI doctor and told me it woud not be unreasonable for me to have a colonoscopy just to have everything checked out. I'm terrified because a few months back I had tests for possible PE and my d dimer was slightly elevated. I looked it up today and saw it can indicate cancer.

Hello dear ,,,,really sorry to hear your problem and your concern ,,,,lets start in systemic manner
First you have IBS you know it cause diarrhea secondly you have hemorrhoids which usually bleed so it explain your condition bloody dirrhea
Yes colonoscopy is wise choice rule of thumb is any person above 35 having change in bowel habbits should have colonoscopy,,,,,, and this condition is not only caused by cancer many other conditions like colonic polyps, peutz jager syndrome etc may also cause it
I think your CBC as you say that doctor has said is good enough,,,so you are safe from cancer ,,,,reguarding D.dimer is raised in many conditions like acute infection ,rheumatoid conditions etc
Take care stay blessed
