Suffer From Pain In The Hip And Joints. Could This Be Bursitis Due To Eating Tomatoes?

Have you come across a reaction to raw tomatoes resulting in joint pain/bursitis? I love tomatoes and when I eat them I could eat quite a lot (maybe a dozen cherry tomatoes or equivalent). In the last number of months I ve been having hip pain at night in bed, but which disappeared during the day. Recently it has also become painful by day also, which has now made walking difficult. Xrays indicate that there is no arthritis , but there does appear to be bursitis. About 80% of the pain/discomfort goes away if I stop eating tomatoes. It seems to me that there is a connection, and would like to know if this is common.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain in the hip and joints is more likely to be due to polyarthritis. Bursitis is not commonly seen in multiple joints. You need to consult a rheumatologist for proper investigations.
