Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. K. Naga Ravi Prasad's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. As you have sustained a D12 anterior wedge compression fracture without any neurological deficits, there is absolutely nothing to worry out. This means that the height of the anterior border of the involved vertebra(bone) is lesser than its posterior border. This problem generally resolves within 6-8 weeks. The only management for this problem is conservative by following means :
- Bed rest
- Avoid forward bending movements
- Avoid lifting weights
- Back support by means of Braces
- Calcium supplements
- Analgesic medications

Hope this helps. Wish you a speedy recovery
