Suffering From Headache, Tiredness, Spotting And Cramping, Due For Periods. Suggestion?
I am due for my period any day now and when I wiped last evening, there was light brown discharge on the toilet paper, vey little. And this morning when I wiped there were just little specs of brown, old blood . I have been tired, headaches , nipples are erect and very tender, mild period-like cramping for about a week. I feel like my period is coming but never have really had the brown specs before. Melissa

Hello,
If you are sexually active, then late period with brown bloody discharge may indicate implantation bleeding. Other associated factors are hormonal imbalance and old endometrial tissue with vaginal infection
Therefore, you should undergo one home pregnancy test with urine initially to check pregnancy status. One blood test for beta HCG & TVS scan is required to confirm product of conception.
After that, you can consult with gynecologist for next line of investigation & management.
