Suffering From Adenoids, Tonsils, Cough, Unable To Sleep. Taking Pentids. Cure?
Hi, My son is 5 yrs of age and he is having adenoids and tonsils problem. he was prescribed for pentids 400 course in feb then he become ok. now again he has developed the same symptoms and now feels difficulty while sleeping at night. we really feel bad to see him as he make sound also seems to be very uncomfortable while sleeping as we are out of and dont know how to proceed for that please suggest any home remedy till the time we will back to next year. Also he is having cough problem now a days

Your son seems to be having chronic adenotonsillitis. If he is getting recurrent infection with nose block then the best and sure way to cure him is to go for the adenotonsillectomy surgery which is the removal of adenoids and tonsils.
It is a fairly simple surgery in good hands and I have myself done more than three thousand of them! If you need any details regarding the same you can get back to me. Meanwhile you can do these:
- Give only warm food and fluids
- do not give frequent head bath
- do not get exposed to cold and cold air and water
-if he gets recurrent sneeze or cold and nose block give an antihistamine like levocetrizine to keep his symptoms under control. Your doctor will know about this
-give steam inhalation at regular intervals
