Suffering From Inflammatory Arthritis. Can Parasite Cause Swelling In Hands With Rapid Muscle Loss?
My sister has been undergoing tests and waiting now for close to 2 months to see specialist ... Her doctor has said she has inflammatory arthritis which I read as an umbrella name for several diseases. Hands very swollen and very recently rapid loss of muscle in arm. She visited Peru 2 years ago and I'm wondering if a parasite can cause these symptoms? This all came on very quickly, since Christmas.
Inflammatory arthritis can not be caused by parasite. But yes it can be caused by virus. Inflammatory arthritis is caused by blood toxins so she has to take medication for long time. She will need HCQ, methotrexate, sulphosalazine for 6 to 9 months.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern for your sister this seems arthritis with the involvements of small joints and this is not because of the parasites, but of course the chances of viral infection is likely, hope this information helps you have nice day.
