Suffering From Multiple TIA's. MRI Shows Small Clot In The Brain. Correct Analysis?
Hi Doctor, my father suffered from TIA and was admitted for few days to a hospital after getting cured on being discharged as his MRI & CTSCAN were all fine and the same day he suffered multiple TIA s and was yesterday admitted back to hospital and now doctor says that his new MRI shows a small clot in his brain can a MRI report reveal such a difference in such a short span of time. regards
It is unfortunate that your father suffered TIAs after getting discharged. It is possible for the brain to get new clots within a short span of time.
After initial TIA, it is important to use blood thinners such as aspirin to prevent recurrence of TIA or strokes in future. In addition, risk factors such as diabetes, high BP and cholesterol should be controlled.
