Suffering From Nipple Pain For 3 Weeks, Irregular Periods, Sexually Active. STI Or Pregnant?
Hi I am a 23 year old female. No kids. Sexually active. I have been having nipple pain for about 3 weeks now. I am really irregular (3-4 periods a year) and since I am currently having sex actively without protection of birth control with my partner, I take pregnancy test monthly. That has been going on for the past six months without pregnancy. I have taken a pregnancy test that resulted in negative. Nipples usually hurt when I am about to come on but that only last about a week at most. Could this pain be the result of an STI? Or could it still be a possibility I am pregnant?

Since , how many years , you are having irregular periods?
Nipple pain that too from last three weeks .
May be due to pregnancy .
May be due to infection ( mastitis) ,
May be due to rough sex .
Why irregular period , this is the cause of concern.
Consult a Gynaecologist and get his opinion.
In my opinion get in one ultrasound of abdomen with emphasis over ovaries ( both sides).
Estrogen level with F S H / L H level are also important for assessment .

You have irregular periods with around 3 - 4 periods and age of 23, pregnancy test negative. I hope this delay in period also due to imbalance in hormones. Get one USG abdomen and pelvis to diagnose the cause for ireregular cycle like PCOD, You need to regularise your periods first with hormones and then can get your normal ovulation in time or can induce it by giving drug and then you can conceive.
The nipple pain may be due to any infection locally or due to trauma. You can take NSAID for pain. Consult your doctor for further examination and management.

Hi, most probably you must be having P.C.O.S, or anemia, or some thing else. I advise you both partners consult the gynacologist for conception. he may have to get his semen examined. You have to get the U.S.scanning done for diagnosis. Thank you.
