Suffering From Stomach Ulcers. Pain In Upper Stomach And Head Ache. Gall Bladder Removed. Cause?

Hello. I'm 19 years old. I'm a guy. I know I have very bad stomach ulcers, but here lately I have been feeling a much different pain than from the ulcers. My upper stomach hurts severely and my head is pounding. I feel like I'm going to throw up constantly. I can hardly eat or drink because I get sick. I know its not my gallbladder because I had it removed a year ago. I am going to a gastroenterologist specialist next week. I would still like to know what other Dr's think it may could be?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
With the available described symptoms there could be high possibility of peptic ulcer disease in stomach.
Peptic ulcer disease is due to Helicobacter pylori bacteria.
Gastric ulcer gets irritated after taking food and may cause severe pain.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist/ general surgeon and should go for thorough check up.
You should also go for complete blood count, blood sugar, serum electrolytes, and serum amylase.
You should also go for ultrasound imaging and x ray abdomen.
You should also go for endoscopy for better clarification of upper gastrointestinal tract.
You should also take proton pump inhibitors along with prokinetics.
You should avoid tomatoes, and citrus fruits.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
