hi archana..its great to see your concern for your mother in law..she needs to eat high protein high energy foods.. give her fruits like banana, chikoo, seetaphal, papaya, nuts like almonds, walnuts..milkshakes are also a good option..start eggs, and fish with her slowly..curd rice along with some veggies in it a good lunch option.. continue with soups, khichdi and coconut water..give her yakult daily to improve digestion..make her happy..avoid fried, sweets and processed foods...
Welcome to Healthcare Magic . You can go ahead giving her Bland , soft diet which is easily digestible, avoid fried and greasy preparation as well. Restrict her intake of barley , sabudana and tender coconut water since it shoots up her blood sugar levels , instead try giving her oats porridge , broken wheat kichidi , soups , sprouts , dhal patties etc.
To improve her weakness there are supplements which can be prescribed for which we require further information to plan a diet chart and you have not mentioned whether she is on Oral hypoglycaemic (tablets) or insulin .Kindly contact our customer care to personally fix up an appointment with the Nutritionist who provides you with a Personalized Diet Chart based on her Height, weight , BMI(Body Mass Index), medical history and food preferences.
