Suffering From Upset Stomach, Severe Cramps, Diarrhea, Nasal Congestion, Throat Pain. Causes And Cure?
Hi, I ve been presenting diarrhea , and nasal congestion . It started last Wednesday. It began with my stomach being upset and really bad cramps , particularly after eating. Then by Friday afternoon I got very congested and my throat hurt too. Now I still have congestion, and sometimes I get cramps although the diarrea is gone. My mom got it too, although she still has diarrea. What might this be?
your symptoms point towards viral infection mostly the flu. though diarrhoea is not a part of the flu but it is seen in some adults approx 6-10%. since it is a viral affliction, antibiotics wont work and you to wait for the virus to pass out.just like in your case, your mother's symptoms will also subside in few days.
till then i would advise -take lots of fluids to prevent dehydration -don't take outside food -avoid strenuous exercise.
if the diarrhoea is lasting for more than two days you can take anti-diarrhoeal drugs for symptomatic relief.
thank you, wishing you good health
