Suggest A Diet Plan To Increase The Hemoglobin Count In A 59-year-old

Hello. I m Laurie, 59 years old and feel healthy. Recently I went to donate my A- blood and was disqualified due to low iron blood count. I have to increase my iron count. Do you have suggestions on the foods, food paring, and the amount of servings I should have? HEMOGLOBIN 11.3 and 11.1 My body doesn t respond well when taking in pill form. As a side note, I also have to take 5,000 mil. of vitamin D and Glucosamine for osteoprerosis. hi Laurie,it's common some people cant take iron in pill form.but talk to your doc once and if there is alternative.along with that you can take lot of green vegetables and dry fruits.but whatever you eat will not increase iron fast.if you very low iron u have to take pills.but u can take some iron and haemoglobin syrups too..they will help you lot.but your haemoglobin count doesn't seem very low..since you need to increase iron you can take syrups.take more red colored fruits and vegetables.hope you will find this helpfull
