Suggest A Remedy For Pain And Swelling In Foot Radiating To Buttocks

My right foot has pain on the outside edge and is swollen. any pressure/walking causes sever pain. no discoloration nor did I hit/bump it in any way. At first I thought it was a cramp. I have been keeping it elevated and staying off of it. pain runs up to my butt. Even wiggling/ flexing it at the ankle I feel the swelling pressure. I do have arthritis in my knees.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain and swelling in foot radiating to buttocks . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like arthritis , gout , nerve damage or injury, such as sciatica , blocked blood vessels or infection in the joint . Your doctor has prescribed you right medicines , continue taking then as per prescription . If condition doesn't get well then consult doctor again for proper examination . Doctor may recommend physical therapy , prescribe muscle relaxant along with stretching exercises . For now keep your feet in hot water tub with one spoon of water . Keep your leg elevated and lower your salt consumption .
