Suggest A Remedy For Swollen And Numb Finger Post Injury

Hi I was going to color with my son. I was washing his colored pencils and jabbed one in the palm of my hand. I do not think any lead broke off but now the pointer finger is numb but pain when I try to move it. It is swelling also. I put Neosporin on it but I need to see what I should next.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have injured your finger with the lead of the pensils leading to inflammation and swelling..
Numbness is due to swelling and inflammation..
I would suggest you to take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Do cool compresses over the finger..
If there is open wound you can apply a combination of antibiotics ointment and steroid ointment over it..
In case if there is still no improvement consult a General Physician and get evaluated..
