Suggest Alternate Medication For Hydrocodone With Acetaminophen

Hello; I`am looking for an alternative for my wife, she currently takes a schedual ll Hydrocodone with acetaminophen . She is allergic to aspirin. Her diagnosis is Stiff persons Disease, small fiber neuropathy , fibromyalgia. Hydrocodone (Percocet) works very well for her condition, but we do not want to have to deal with the DEA and the monthly Doctors trips just to pick up her monthly prescription.

Thanks for contacting HCM.

I understand your concern about ongoing use of hydrocodone for pain control. Other options for pain control that does require a doctors prescription is tramadol of Lyrica. Both are scheduled 3 but can be refilled and not require monthly trips to the doctor. These medications are not as powerful as hydrocodone but they do help.

I hope this answers your question. Please contact HCM again with any of your health care concerns
