Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Ritalin contains 'methylphenidate', whichis a central nervous system stimulant. It affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. Hence, it is used to treat attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy.
You can ask for the brand with composition of 'methylphenidate' in the pharmacy to get the medication.
Kindly take the dose as prescribed by your doctor.
Hope the information provided helps.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.,
