Suggest Alternative Medication In Place Of Seroquel

Im on 600 mg of seroquel for my insomnia but it is not working anymore due to my high tolerance. My doctor mentioned purting me on Latuda with some other prescription medicine that would knock me out at bedtime, but i cant rember what tbe othwr medine was and im not able to afford to go back to the one particular doctor. Sodo you know what medicine she might have been reffering to? Or can you tell me what prescription medicine can replace my 600 mg seroquel that will knock me out or let me sleep a good 6-8 hours?

Hi,

1. under no circumstances you should stop, change your present medication or switch to any other alternative form of treatment without first contacting your attending physician, till you get an appointment prophylactic measures which you can adopt in day to day life is/are:

1. avoid caffeine found in coffee, tea, chocolate, cola, and some pain relievers
2. the quiet, dark, and cool environment can help promote sound sleep.
3. Avoid stressful, stimulating activities like doing work, discussing emotional issues.
4. take dinner 2-3 hours before bedtime and avoid foods that cause indigestion. [spicy-heavy- junk food]
5. avoid afternoon napping to prevent late night awakening.
6. looking at the clock in your bedroom, [when you are trying to fall asleep] can actually increase stress, making it harder to fall asleep.
7. The principle is to have a well-balanced diet with more of proteins and more Calories with exercise.
8. Lemon juice mixed with sugar in a glass of water helps to release stress removing hormones from the body and bring mind at peace/rest.
9. Mix 4-5 dates in half glass of water and drink 2 times daily for a month.
10.
. eat 2 spoon coriander seeds with 2 spoons of sugar candy
. rub castor oil on palms and feet.
. drink a juice of coriander leaves, water, and sugar.
. before retiring to bed wash your mouth, head, back of neck, both ears and legs with cold water.
. make a paste of 'bhang' with cow/goat milk and massage on feet.
. take a glass of buffalo milk at bedtime [best sleep inducer].

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
