Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had tests done and had low tbili, High ALKP, HGB, HCT among several other things Been testing for pseudogout of which they say I have now. Been looking up the different test results that are H or L. Looking to see if there is anything I can do different to improve the or reverse the CPPD
CPPD refers to Calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate crystal which gets deposited in the joints leading to pseudogout. NSAIDs or colchicine should be taken to reduce the inflammation. In case of contraindications to the above drugs, corticosteroids should be used to reduce the symptoms. Cold packs can help reduce the inflammation associated with flare-ups. In case of excess fluid collection, aspiration of fluid will help in removing the fluid and crystals which may be rarely required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
