General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the symptoms are indicative of underlying viral respiratory infection.

Guidelines for better outcome
- gargles with salted lukewarm water added peppermint oil
- tablet acetaminophen ( 500 mg ) 3 times a day after meals
- tusq D lozenges as cough formulations available off the counter
- avoid exposure to atmospheric pollutants
- avoid primary or secondary smoking (if involved)
- drink more liquids for immunity set up and consume balanced nutritious diet. Do follow up after 2 days about the progress.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
