Suggest An Alternative To Doans Tablet

My husband has lower back pain on both sides (kidney area). Sometimes it doesn t bother him much; other times he is in pain just twisting or turning one way or the other. A heating pad helps. Ibuprofen (800 mg) didn t touch the pain. He is now taking 2 Doans tables every 6 hours. It helps, but wears off before it s time to take the next dose. He is 74, fairly active, still exercises, and does lots of yard work. YYYY@YYYY

Hello
First off, he needs to have a doctor determine exactly what the problem is since it may be a rupture disc in his lower back

Better medications would be Flexeril--a muscle relaxant--and Toradol
