Suggest An Alternative To HCQS For Reumatoid Arthritis

Hello Doctor, my Mother is a Reumatoid Arthritis patient since 1999. Her age is now 63, she is on HCQS 200 daily one tablet, since 2008 along with folvite and folitrax one per week. But HCQS has affected her eye, specially right eye. It becomes red often. Is there a subsitute to hcqs? Can she take shallaki and reosto from Himalaya Herbal?

Hello and thank you for your question. Methotrexate is another medication that can be used to treat Rheumatoid arthritis. This would need to be prescribed by a rheumatologist. It too can have side effects but is very effective in some patients.
