Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently had a mild heart attack & had a stint put in an artery. Everything went fine and I came home after being in the hospital 2-1/2 days. One of my instructions was not to continue Premarin .625, which I have been taking since 1987, when I had a total hysterectomy. Are there any substitutes for Premarin or could I possible take a lower dose?
Hi, I think you should discontinue taking premarin for now because it will increase the cardiovascular risk. You can use some isoflavones for reducing postmenopausal symptoms. Maintain a healthy diet.
